War of the Worlds
Produced by Lora Buckman
Directed by Joe Campanella

Sound Effects Directed by Deb Bartram

...an on-stage dramatization of Orson Welles' famous (and infamous) 1938 radio broadcast of the H.G. Wells sci-fi classic -- but without the radio!

On one half of the stage, the cast will play radio actors in period costumes in a fun and dramatic visualization of a radio play. At the same time, the rest of the stage will be occupied by an effects crew, creating realistic sounds to enhance the scenes using everyday objects. The whole family will enjoy watching both teams work in tandem to produce an exciting adventure about Martian invaders attacking the Earth! Or you can close your eyes and imagine yourself in 1938, listening to the tale unfold from your radio as if for the first time!
