Press Release
The
curtain will soon rise on a true children’s classic as the Sterling Playmakers
present their version of the E. B. White gem, Charlotte’s Web! Director
Kevin Robertson has given the "Playmaker touch" to a fun-filled
production guaranteed to please. Children and adults alike will enjoy
scenes that will draw chuckles as well as tears of laughter!
The talented cast consists of some familiar faces, but a number of newcomers
have come out to join the fun, including some young first-timers playing
townsfolk and barnyard animals. Charlotte the spider (Jeannie DeLisi)
weaves her web of kindness to rescue Wilbur the pig (Chris DeLisi) from the
farmer's axe. Templeton the rat (Ty Walker) might be more of a “ham”
than Wilbur! Country charm is provided by Fern and Avery Arable (Lauren
Miller and Ryan Duncan), and cute comedy is lent by a Lamb (Sierra Wharton)
who's jealous of Wilbur! Narrators Michelle Viljoen, Yasmin Hatley, and
Terry DiMurro draw you into the story, while the Goose, Gander, and Sheep (Shelah
Novak, Sabine Morrison, and JJ Meyers) draw even more laughs. Lurvy (Jerry
Garegnani) is a another highlight, as are the adorable goslings. Dozens of
others add to the merriment, turning the simple story into endearing
entertainment.
Charlotte's Web is a must-see for the entire community! Come enjoy some
good, wholesome, family entertainment for about the price of a movie, and
support your local community theater in the process. Tell all your family,
friends, neighbors, and co-workers to do the same!
Producer Ken Shall still needs volunteers to round out his staff. Help is
needed in several areas, including tech, running crew, props, and makeup.
Contact Ken at KShall@firstfinancialgroup.com to volunteer and join the fun!
