Now Accepting Director Applications for our 22nd Season

Have you always wanted to direct a show? Just fill out the Director Application, and mail it or email it to the address on the application by MAY 21, 2017.

The 39 Steps (Comedy/Farce) February 23, 24, 25 & March 2, 3, 4 (2018) – Mix a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, add a dash of Monty Python and you have The 39 Steps, a fast-paced whodunit for anyone who loves the magic of theatre!

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (Drama) April 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29 (2018) – This classic by Tennessee Williams is the story of a Southern family in crisis, especially the husband Brick and wife Margaret (usually called Maggie or “Maggie the Cat”), and their interaction with Brick’s family over the course of one evening gathering at the family estate in Mississippi.

Beauty and the Beast (Musical) July 27, 28, 29 & August 3, 4, 5,10, 11, 12 (2018) – The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress, as told by Disney.

Eerie Evenings in the Park (Scenes/One Acts) October 19, 20, 21 (2018) – Director’s choice of a spooky-themed collection of short scenes from the public domain, designed to be a family- friendly autumn/Halloween-themed evening of classic theatre.

Little Shop of Horrors (Musical) November 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, 18 (2018) -Seymour Krelborn is a meek and dejected assistant at a floral shop who happens upon a strange plant, which he affectionately names “Audrey II” after his crush at the shop. Little does he know that this strange and unusual plant will develop a soulful R&B voice, a potty mouth, and an unquenchable thirst for HUMAN BLOOD.

Applications will also be accepted to direct Sterling Swordplayers, On That Note, and WSPR (We’re Sterling Playmakers Radio).

NOTE: If chosen to direct, you will need to become a member of the Sterling Playmakers for the season in which your show performs. Membership is just $20 per year for your entire household.
